Contemporary "Hygge"
We designed a short-term rental property for a Danish client in the heart of Budapest. The aim was to incorporate their signature Danish “hygge” feeling into the space but also having the presence of local features within the apartment. The most important aspect here was a comfortable sofa that could be converted into a bed accommodating four extra guests. Young Hungarian artists’ works are displayed on the gallery wall, strengthening the Budapest feeling in the flat. We intended to create a dynamic space by using asymmetrical features that are reflected by the shape of the sofa and the gallery wall. White walls help maximise the light in this beautifully spacious interior, where in the bedrooms, light grey brings calmness for its guests.
